Nova Scotia is going to be donating $100,000 to the Canadian Red Cross to help out residents impacted by the historic flooding of the St. John River.

In a news release, Nova Scotia Premier Stephen McNeil says on behalf of all Nova Scotians we want to support our neighbours in their time of need.

As of Wednesday, the New Brunswick Floods Appeal had reached around $650,000 since it was launched on May 3.
