To the sweet relief of those who live nearby, a large construction project in the Waterloo Village is nearing completion.
Work continues on Waterloo Street, between Peters and Paddock Streets on water, sanitary, and storm sewers. The area remains closed to through traffic. The next priority will be work on the curbs and sidewalks.
Most of the underground work is complete along Waterloo, between Richmond and Golding, except for a few services that are now being tied in.
Paving began on Richmond and Prince Edward Streets this week.
Richmond Street remains closed to through traffic while crews work on the medians.
The work should be complete by the end of October.
