The group 100 Women Who Care of Greater Saint John has given a poverty-related community agency in Saint John an early Christmas present.
At its 23rd donation night at Lily Lake Pavillion the winning pitch was made by Fresh Start Services for Women and a cheque for $23,600 was presented to Executive Director Melanie Vautour.
The group has now given out a total of $550,855 since its inception in June 2013 and its next goal is the $750,000 mark and then eventually onwards to $1,000,000.
The group has seen 9 new members join the ranks since the September meeting.
