Some bad icy patches on highway 1 kept Musquash Fire department busy on Sunday night. It got a call around 7 pm that a vehicle had lost control and hit a guard rail in the westbound lane. Upon arrival they found three people had gotten out of the vehicle and there were no injuries. Just an hour later in nearly the same spot a vehicle travelling eastbound had lost control, flipped and rolled and ended up in the westbound lane. That blocked traffic for a while in the one lane. The driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Musquash Fire Department says five accidents occurred in their area in 48 hours including three in the same place, they warn drivers the last storm has left long sections of icy patches and they urge drivers to slow down in that area.
