Premier Shawn Graham and opposition leader David Alward are forming a task force to try to convince Canadian Blood Service to reverse its decision to close Saint John’s blood distribution centre. Health Critic Margaret Ann Blaney tells CHSJ news she will sit on the board with a fellow Conservative and two Liberals.
She says the task force is a result of the motion unanimously passed last week in the Legislature to work together to have the decision to move the Saint John centre reversed. Meanwhile, Blaney says the opposition is not rescinding its request to have Health Minister Mike Murphy removed from his post.
