Time is running out for companies interested in submitting proposals for the city’s new Customer Service Management system — the deadline for submitting proposals is Thursday afternoon at 4.
City hall wants to move a single number customer contact service similar to the 3-1-1 system available in other municipalities.
City officials say it would free up the departments to concentrate on the work at hand instead of handling and redirecting calls.
The proposal is looking at either an in-house system staffed by city hall or the option of sourcing out the contact center to the private sector.
