The Liberals will be trying to unseat Provincial Finance Minister Blaine Higgs in Quispamsis with Mary Schryer, who served as a cabinet minister when Shawn Graham was Premier and also had a stint as a member of town council.
Higgs is viewed as being respected because of his candor when asked about the financial bind the province finds itself in. Schryer tells CHSJ News he has still been part of a government running on a poor economic record.
Schryer goes on to say she’s disturbed by how many people of all ages who are leaving the province for out west.
The Conservatives have been accusing the previous Liberal Government of which Schryer was a member of reckless spending. Schryer dismisses that as playing the blame game which voters don’t want to hear.
