The Saint John Y has $5 million dollars of the 7 million it needs for the new facility going up on Churchill Boulevard.
RBC announcing a $60,000 matching donation to the project.
Colin Krulicki tells CHSJ News agrees with those who describe a new Y in Crescent Valley as a gamechanger for the community.
He tells us they gave $40,000 to ONE Change meaning in this small place they have given $100,000 to make the community better.
Anyone who makes a donation to the Y’s fundraising campaign in a RBC branch or directly to the Y during the month of June will be matched. It could bring in $120,000 next month.
Construction is on time and on budget and set to open in the fall of 2015.
