A shortage of skilled workers and limits to immigration policies are posing challenges for the Atlantic provinces.
Newfoundland and Labrador’s Tom Marshall says they have a shortage of workers now and need people to come to their province and they are trying to do more in child care to help parents get back to work. He also says they were working to find ways of getting those with disabilities or on income support back into the workforce.
Premier David Alward says they talk about the thousands of people they will need with great skill for coming projects and the provincial nominee program can help with that.
