Hopefully we’ve seen the last of the frost advisories, and some good gardening weather is now headed our way.
The Greater Saint John Fundy Region is starting up its 17th annual Marigold Project. Six thousand kids at 45 schools, plus about three thousand volunteers will be planting colourful flowers in public spaces with the goal of instilling a sense of ownership and pride in the community.
Last year, the Marigold Project set the Guinness World Record for the largest number of people simultaneously planting flowers and this year, they’ll be going over 3 million marigolds.
