Dominion Park could be getting a major facelift sometime in the future.
A conceptual plan for the park being unveiled at a community meeting on the West side. The City’s Kevin Watson explains to CHSJ News that the redesigned park would include a new entryway, more greenspace, a community garden and more and the project would cost approximately $505,000 in total.
Saint John Lancaster M-L-A Dorothy Shephard at the meeting and she tells us the next step is to get a community committee together and have them start presenting the project and examine what type of funding will be available. She says she will be there to champion it at the provincial level.
Watson says through Play S-J, Dominion Park is designated a district park, and more funding, concentration and effort is put into those types of parks.
