“Vacuous”………That’s the reaction of provincial Green Party leader David Coon to release by the Alward Government of its action plan on climate change. Coon tells CHSJ News the province is blowing a chance to develop a green economy.
Coon says if the government was serious about climate change, it would immediately require the Belledune coal fired power station and the Irving Oil refinery to reduce their carbon emissions.
He calls climate change a calamity that’s happening all around us.
