The Mounties are warning you to be wary of those that may try to capitalize off this week’s tragedy in Moncton.
They say do not make any donation to a trust fund or scholarship other than those endorsed by the RCMP to avoid being victimized by a scam artist. The RCMP say there will soon be information on their website on how you can donate to those affected by the shooting.
Officers Doug Larche, Dave Ross and Fabrice Gevaudan were shot and killed on Wednesday. Both Larche and Ross were married with children. You can read the full profiles of the three by clicking here.
Update: The RCMP say they have set up the Moncton Fallen RCMP Members Memorial Fund and this is the only website where donations will be accepted.
