Newly released polling reveals getting re-elected won’t be a cakewalk for the Alward Government. However, Saint John Lancaster M-L-A Dorothy Shephard tells CHSJ News from conversations she’s been having on the ground with voters, people appear to be pretty pleased with the decisions made by the government.
It has been suggested the party’s approval rating is nosediving because tough decisions were made too late in its mandate but Shephard argues there was groundwork that needed to be laid first.
The survey released by Corporate Research Associates in Halifax shows the Liberals with 53 per cent support. The Alward Conservatives were at 28 per cent and the NDP with 16 per cent.
