Common Councillor Gerry Lowe says the Energy East pipeline is being talked about as an economic life saver but people should focus more on the proposed barge terminal in Lorneville because the number of jobs will be far greater.
Lowe says he can see upwards of 700 jobs being created in the building trades because of the barge terminal which will pay from 20 to 30 dollars an hour.
He adds this will be the best thing that could happen to Saint John and would be a sin if it doesn’t proceed.
