It took six years with an estimated cost of half a million dollars but the new community park at Rothesay Elementary school has been built with the official opening tomorrow morning at 11:30.
Amanda Fowlie chairs the Rothesay Community Park and she tells CHSJ News they did their research to make sure they got it right for the children, combining nature with your traditional fplayhground equipment you see these days.
She says, according to the research, when children are exposed to nature, there is better social interaction, less anxiety and bullying as well as better test scores in school.
