A moment of silence at Quispamsis council for the three RCMP officers gunned down in Moncton two weeks ago.
Mayor Murray Driscoll calling the killing of Constables Douglas Larche, Dave Ross and Fabrice Gevaudan an unspeakable and despicable act and says it’s a reminder that when our officers get into their cars they are heading into the unknown. He tells CHSJ News it’s important we cherish what our protective services do as they protect us so we can walk the streets safely.
Driscoll says members of the police force in the Kennebecasis Valley went to Moncton during the manhunt and were major players in the eventual capture of the shooting suspect.
Quispamsis council only meets once in June so Driscoll says this is the first opportunity they have had to show their respect to the three fallen officers.
