The Friars sisters Celebrate concert sells out every November and the 11th edition will benefit Safe Harbour Transitional Youth Services.
Tracy Friars tells CHSJ News they have tried to figure out the reason their concert is so successful.
She thinks its because people want to belong to something larger than themselves.
June Breau-Nason of the Teen Resource Centre says about 6 years ago a 17 year old showed up at their door who was couch surfing.
She says word got out on the street with the kids that they could go there to get a hot shower and some food but she adds it was about addressing the greater problem that these kids need somewhere safe to live.
Breau-Nason tells us this teen did find a safe home and is now living in Fredericton and doing well.
Tickets go on sale for the Friars sisters concert in September.
