940 people have left the province in just the last three months, according to Stats Canada, which is more than the total population decline for all of 2013. Provincial NDP leader Dominic Cardy tells CHSJ News a real change is needed to start turning things around–by stopping with what he calls the Alward government’s efforts to buy job creation announcemnts with public money that could be better used on education and healthcare.
Cardy says he would introduce a New Jobs Tax Credit to spur employment growth which has proven successful when tried in other jurisdictions across North America.
