The Shaw brothers have sold Dykeman’s Hardware on Adelaine Street which has been operating at that location for over 100 years.
Don Shaw tells CHSJ News it a strange feeling to know Monday is his last day.
He says when he was a little boy he’d leave Lorne school to help his grandfather and then help his dad deliver feed to farmers.
Paul Stevens and George Mayo are taking over the store and will keep the name.
Dykeman Hardare began selling feed, flour and food before moving into hardware supplies.
