The province and feds are contributing almost $23 million bucks toward finishing the Fundy Trail Parkway. When complete, the parkway will connect sites from from St. Martins to Alma. Right now, there’s still about 14 kilometers to go.
Tourism Minister Trevor Holder tells CHSJ News it’s a game-changer because it allows tourists to get an even greater sense of everything New Brunswick has to offer.
The parkway includes Fundy National Park, Cape Enrage and the Hopewell Rocks….and it’s supposed to be finished by spring 2018.
The Fundy Trail was the brainchild of former Saint John Fundy M-L-A and provincial Liberal cabinet minister Stuart Jamieson who estimates, when it’s finished, could boost provincial tourism by 20 to 30 million dollars a year.
