Some tense moments for a boy near Welsford last night: the RCMP received a call around 5pm from a 15 year old boy lost in the woods near Turtle Mountain.
Three boys, ages 15 to 18, had planned a camping trip in the Turtle Mountain area when one of the boys got separated from the group. He was found around 9:00 p.m with the help of the GPS from the lost boy’s cell phone.
The RCMP is reminding people who plan on going hiking or camping to plan ahead and make sure to have emergency supplies such as water, a first aid kit, cell phone, GPS and any medications. Also, let someone know your plans and the time you expect to return.
