The group of 15 people are upset about a plan to rescind the free transportation for the visually impaired which is a service that has been provided for many years.
Frank McCarey tells CHSJ News its a poverty issue for some.
He believes those people probably should being travelling for free but he can’t fund that adding it should be funded by those appropriate bodies who decide who deserves it.
Visually impaired passenger David Estabrooks would like to see the concession stay and his experience with transit has been pretty good overall.
He says they have pretty well be very courteous and transit drivers have helped him across the street.
Accessibility on buses was also discussed with concerns raised about the hazards of large strollers and drivers taking off to quickly when the visually-impaired passengers get on and off the bus.
