An unregistered company that uses the name Options Area has scammed one New Brunswicker out $10,000 over the phone.
The salesperson with Options Area claimed they were based inToronto, but according to the Financial and Consumer Services Commission it’s hard to tell where they actually are.
The FCSC warns it’s a very bad idea to invest with a company that contacts you out of the blue to invest in something you don’t fully understand.
