Skateboarders can get their kicks on Canada Day at the all-ages Mayor’s Cup Skateboard competition which is happening at the Station One Skate Plaza.
Recreational Manager with the City of Saint John Kevin Watson explains through the Canadian Tire Jumpstart program they will be giving away free helmets while supplies last.
The competition is a part of Passport To Parks, a series of events being held at eight of the city’s parks over four days. Watson says the series will also be making a stop at Mispec Park where you can paddleboard, get your face painted, listen to a steel band play and more.
Both events run from 1pm to 4pm.
