Tin Can Beach is already looking a lot more inviting.
It’s fortunate that ACAP and a crew of volunteers waited until after post-tropical storm Arthur ripped through the resion to start planting 30 tall indigenous trees although the roadway, forming a more inviting path to the Harbour.
Graeme Stewart Robertson with ACAP tells CHSJ News it gives the place a more welcoming feel–and hopefully it will be part of a bigger project to revitalize the area and link it up with the Harbour Passage.
Thirty trees will be planted through this afternoon, and then 400 more conifers will go in the ground this fall. For more info on how you can get involved click here
