NB Power coming in for some criticism about why it had not arranged for dozens of independent line crews to be on hand to help restore electricity. Nova Scotia had booked them in advance of Arthur’s arrival.
The Liberal M-L-A in Charlotte County, Rick Doucet questions whether the severity of the storm was underestimated by NB Power and the Alward Government beforehand.
Doucet is also critical of the Provincial Emergency Measures Organisation which he charges has been among the missing.
Doucet is hoping there will be assistance from the federal government in covering the cleanup costs. He also tells CHSJ News people are getting pretty fed up at this point.
