There are more than 24 thousand homes and businesses without power provincewide as of this morning.
More than 14 thousand are in Fredericton, over 13 hundred in the Rothesay district with most in Rothesay, Quispamsis, Hampton, Grand Bay-Westfield and the Kingston Peninsula, 34 hundred in St. Stephen and just 149 in the Sussex area.
There’s one estimate that damage from last weekend’s storm could exceed 12 million dollars.
Since Wednesday night’s assessment, NB Power has sent 33 additional crews to those hardest hit areas in central and southern parts of the province.
It now expects to have 90 per cent restored by tonight, 95 per cent by Sunday night and 99 per cent by next Tuesday.
