When you lose your power and depend on medical equipment for your health, it becomes a matter of life or death.
Provincial Health Minister Ted Flemming says if you’re in that situation and have a health concern then call Tele-Care 8-1-1.
You dial 8-1-1, which is free of charge, and you can talk to a registered nurse 24/7 who can give you information about medical health equipment, such as oxygen, or medications like insulin.
The RN’s can also refer you to people in your community who can help you out.
