Supporting local farmers is great for the local economy, and also means delicious, varied, and healthy meals for your family.
Amy Baker and Derek Mitchell are the owners of Wellwood Farm on the West Side, which sells produce at the Queen Square Farmer’s Market and also through a weekly veggie box program. Baker tells CHSJ News going back to the land isn’t without its hurdles, including hungry deer, bad weather, and a lack of labourers.
