The NDP candidate in Hampton, former longtime Conservative Bev Harrison predicts the Premier’s charge that he’s not a team player will backfire because people in the riding don’t believe it and consider the accusation to be nasty.
Harrison tells CHSJ News he was being shut out of policy making by the party leadersh, saying he felt whatever he said in the Conservative caucus meetings was ignored but Provincial Health Minister and Attorney General Ted Flemming tells us Harrison’s attendance at those caucus meetings was poor but, despite that, M-L-A’s can talk about any issue they want.
Flemming maintains Harrison left because he could not have an uncontested run at the party’s nomination in Hampton.
