Police called to an apartment building on Mecklenburg Street between Wentworth and Carmarthen last night shortly before 6:00.
A man, thought to be in his thirties, was found dead inside the building and Major Crime was called to investigate the circumstances.
CHSJ News spoke to a friend of the victim outside the building who described the victim as someone who helped him get back on his feet.
The man was so upset to hear of his friend’s death he began punching a power pole after receiving the news.
There’s no word yet on a cause of death and whether there was any foul play.
