It’s still too early to tell what financial toll post-tropical storm Arthur took on the town of Quispamsis according to Mayor Murray Driscoll who describes the damage done as being worse than the Christmas ice storm.
A debriefing on the storm will be held in Quispamsis to discuss what was good about the response and what was not-so-good. Driscoll says you learn something from every major event and this was no exception.
Vouchers are available at Quispasmsis Town Hall for residents looking to get rid of storm debris. The Mayor explains townspeople with the coupon can bring the brush to Renforth Construction located at 91 Palmer Brook Road for free until Saturday.
The town doesn’t have an organic cleanup program in the community so CHSJ News asked Driscoll if the town would consider implementing one sometime in the future. He says this is a new problem, but it’s a problem worthy of them looking into down the road.
