Saint John Lancaster MLA Dorothy Shephard announcing $50,000 to fix up Branch 69 legion on the West side.
The Minister for Healthy and Inclusive Communities says she has several family members who are members of this legion.
She tells us she feels strongly that veterans should get as much support as possible. Shephard says they provide day to day support visiting the Ridgewood veteran’s wing and providing quilts and blankets.
Work is underway now on fixing up the main hall upstairs with the removal of wood panelling and painting the ceiling and walls.
