Charges will be laid against suspended Senator Mike Duffy following an RCMP investigation into the Senate expense scandal. That word coming from Duffy’s lawyer, Donald Bayne, who has not specified what the charges will be.
Bayne has released a statement predicting when the full story is told, it will be clear Duffy is innocent of any criminal wrongdoing. Bayne claims Duffy has not had a fair hearing either in the Senate or in the media.
He goes on to say the evidence will show Duffy didn’t want to be part of the repayment scheme that Bayne claims was concocted by Nigel Wright and the Prime Minister’s Office for purely political reasons.
