An unplanned power outage impacting a significant number of homes and businesses in Uptown Saint John.
The cause a fire on a pole on Elliot Row. It was quickly put out by city fire crews.
Saint John Energy tweeting a short time that the power has been restored to some locations uptown and they are working to restore the rest.
The outage also causing several alarms to go off in the uptown.
The area impacted by the outage seems to be in the area of Union, Orange, Leinster, Duke and Charlotte.
Traffic lights are Union street were also out.
