It was surveillance video from a nearby church that helped catch the culprits in the Korner Grocery arson a few years back–and the Saint John Police are looking at a more efficient way of putting surveillance cameras to use.
They’re asking members of the public who have a surveillance camera to register it in their mappable database.
That way, if a crime occurs, they can save time and effort canvassing the community, and simply ask for your permission to view the camera.
It’s called the iWatch program and it’s free. All your details will be kept confidential.
