The next time you drive down Main Street West you may notice a new flower pot in front of one of the businesses between Simms Corner and Catherwood Street. It’s part of the new initiative that sees The Chamber, The City of Saint John and West side businesses team up for Main Street Blossoms.
Chamber CEO David Duplisea tells CHSJ News this idea was in the works before the merger became official in May.
He says one of the compelling things about the merger is that it does bring more horsepower to local initiatives like this.
Every business that buys a $200 sponsorship package gets a full flower pot and other items. The plant will be cared for and then picked up in the fall.
Over 20 business are taking part.
