Many of us fondly (or not-so-fondly) remember going to the provincial math competition–or sending our kids there.
The province announcing it’ll be spending $250,000 over the next five years in the Atlantic Association of Research in the Mathematical Sciences. As well as the math competition at UNB’s Fredericton and Moncton Campuses, the money will also go toward a UNB Math Camp for students in Grades 10 and 11.
The program aims to foster an enthusiasm for math among younger students, from elementary to high school.
