The mercury is expected to climb higher than usual in Saint John this August according to Environment Canada.
Meteorologist Bob Robichaud says the city usually sees an average of 16.9 degrees, however heading into next week we will be seeing a warming trend. While the Port City has been pretty much on par with the average temperature for July, the rest of the province has seen above-average temps.
We did, however, break a high temperature record this summer with 30.7 degrees on June 30 which replaced the old record set in 1997.
