City police knew something wasn’t right when they saw a parked car with its windows rolled down in the North End in the pouring rain.
They soon learned the keys were in the ignition and when they traced the car back to an address, they found the home had been broken into.
Sergeant Tony Hayes says they also got more than they bargained when they responded to an address for a charge of breaching the peace.
An 18 year old man told the arriving officers he wanted to confess to a robbery at a West side convenience store two years ago.
He was turned over to the Major Crime Unit.
