Moncton has a new radio station to check out. CKNI 91.9 The Bend is now on the air offering “Metro’s Perfect Music Mix” and continuing in the strong tradition of local news provided by the station.
It’s the newest addition to the Acadia Broadcasting fold and the fourth in New Brunswick. VP Jim MacMullin says its exciting to bring their local brand of radio to Moncton.
The company’s new station is broadcasting from new studios and offices in Jones Lake Place on Main Street.
Station Manager Troy Wallace is thrilled to be returning to Moncton adding the branding of the station is a nod to the community’s history.
Wallace says it dates back to 1766 when 8 famillies arrived and named the settlement The Bend and from there it grew into what we know now as Moncton.
