A 39 year old Caraquet man will be spending the next three years of his life in prison after being sentenced Wednesday in relation to child pornography charges.
Sylvain Duguay pleaded guilty to four charges, including possession of child pornography, invitation to sexual touching, and making child pornography available over the internet.
Duguay was arrested in July last year as part of Operation Snapshot 3, a national initiative targeting people who possess, produce, and distribute child pornography over the internet.
On Wednesday he was sentenced to three years in jail, as well as being banned from possessing a firearm, using the internet or having contact with anyone under the age of 16.
