Meetings at work can be helpful as long as they are productive.
Business Coach Jen Lawrence tells us she likes working meetings where group decisions are being made
and they allow you a chance to get individual time.
She says if everyone on a work team knows that every Wednesday and Friday there is a meeting at 2 o’clock, you are less likely to be interrupted at 1pm or on Tuesday because dedicated and focused time is coming up at that meeting.
As for trying to rise above gossip at the office, Lawrence recommends seeking out some real information from a manager because believing in gossip can make you hate your job if you are only ever hearing negative stuff.
