Affordable housing can be hard to come by these days, so it’s great news for two families in Charlotte County that will get the opportunity of a lifetime.
Habitat for Humanity Fredericton and the Village of Blacks Harbour have partnered together in announcing two safe, energy efficient, homes will be built in the community this summer.
Mike Ross, CEO for Habitat for Humanity Fredericton says two more homes will be built next year as well in 2016.
Ross say students at NBCC in St. Andrews and Mirimichi will help in the building process, gaining practical experience with the projects.
Also, students from Blacks Harbour School and Fundy High School will help with landscaping once the homes arrive.
