Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez has been found guilty of first degree murder in the 2013 killing of Odin Loyd.
Jurors deliberated for just under 36 hours before reaching their decision.
A conviction for 1st-degree murder means Hernandez will be sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Lloyd was found shot to death in an industrial park less than a mile from where Hernandez lived. Lloyd was dating the sister of Hernandez’s fiancee at the time.
Hernandez is facing another trial for murdering two other men at a traffic stop in Boston.
