The film and television production community in New Brunswick was shocked about the recent drastic cuts to the film tax credit in Nova Scotia.
Jean-Marc Goguen is a Producer with Moncton-based Botsford Productions. He says it’s difficult to say how this move will impact productions in New Brunswick.
He says they’re still waiting to hear what programs the provincial government will install for the film industry in New Brunswick. He hopes that the news in Nova Scotia won’t have a negative effect on the film and television industry in this province.
Goguen suspects the province may gain some productions and producers from Nova Scotia who left New Brunswick in 2011 when this province’s tax credit was cancelled.
