Police confirming the body found off Long Wharf yesterday morning is that of a woman. The body was seen by people on a fishing boat.
Major Crime is now checking missing persons.
An autopsy will be performed at the Regional Hospital to determine the cause of death as well as the person’s identity.
It’s not known how long the body has been in the water.
