If you’re running errands or grabbing a bite to eat uptown this weekend there’s a good chance you’ll notice something pretty out of the ordinary.
One of the largest cranes in Atlantic Canada will be at the foot of King Street in front of Brunswick House in order to lift a new chiller system up to the roof.
Commercial Properties Vice President Paul Moore tells us they’re continuing to upgrade infrastructure on all of their buildings and this is part of that. Moore says they’re spending a million dollars this year in capital improvements on this building and a major portion of that will be this chiller system.
The work is going on from 8pm Friday until 6am Monday and during that time Chipman Hill will be closed to through traffic. As well, King Street and Market Square westbound lanes will be closed from Canterbury to Water Street. Parking on King between Chipman Hill and Canterbury Street will be available but only accessible eastbound on King.
