The Ottawa Senators say forward Mark Stone suffered a microfracture of his right wrist. His status is uncertain for the rest of the first-round playoff series with Montreal which resumes tonight. Meantime, Canadiens defenseman P-K Subban will not be suspended for the two handed slash.
In the Majors, the Blue Jays lost to Tampa Bay 4-2. Evan Longoria of the Rays left in the eighth after he was hit on the left hip by a pitch from Marco Estrada, one inning after Chris Archer drilled Toronto slugger Edwin Encarnacion on the left elbow. The Red Sox and Yankees were idle. In the late game, Arizona outlasted San Francisco in 12 innings, 7-6.
